Mother and Son in Hebei
In China, a mother and her son lost their lives in a serious traffic accident in Changli County, Hebei Province.
The incident occurred at noon on May 31 on National Highway G205, according to local media and witnesses.
Security camera footage, later shared on social media, shows how the accident unfolded.
According to the videos, a large truck was traveling on the road while an electric bicycle was approaching on its right side.
How the Incident Occurred
The recordings indicate that around 1:55 p.m., the truck began to make a right turn.
At that moment, the two people riding the electric bicycle were very close to the truck.
Apparently, the truck driver failed to see the electric bicycle during the maneuver.
The collision caused the occupants of the bicycle to fall to the pavement.
According to the footage, the truck continued moving and only stopped after running over the electric scooter.

Fire after the accident
Another recording captured shortly afterward showed the truck engulfed in flames.
The footage showed that the truck's cab was completely destroyed by the fire.
Merchants located near the scene later confirmed that the incident occurred in that area of Changli County.
One of the merchants explained that, according to local information, the electric scooter's battery had caught fire after the impact.
That fire then spread to the truck, causing the blaze that destroyed the cab.
Identities of the victims confirmed
On June 2, the Changli County Funeral Home confirmed to the media that the two deceased were a mother and her son.
The news caused a strong reaction among residents and social media users who followed the case.
Investigation and Official Silence
Journalists attempted to obtain additional information from the Changli County Public Safety Bureau's Traffic Management Brigade.
However, officials indicated that any interview required prior authorization from the institution's political affairs department.
Subsequently, the head of that department declined to comment on the case.
Information was also requested from the county Fire and Rescue Service.
