Son Runs Over Father and then Shoots Him to Death near 47th and Laramie on Jan 29th 2026 Arrested at La Salle Truck Stop Feb 3rd 2026

Police are investigating a homicide in an industrial area near 47th Street and Laramie. Authorities say a man was hit by a vehicle and then shot multiple times.

The suspect, identified as the victim’s son, was taken into custody a short time later. Police have not said what led up to the incident.

The case remains under investigation.

UPD:

A Justice man was charged Saturday with first-degree murder for the fatal shooting of his father in Forest View.

Hassan Alwan, 30, of Justice, was charged with the fatal shooting of his father, Amin Alwan, 58, of Burbank.

Forest View police said they responded to a call of shots fired about p.m. on Thursday and found a man down near Synergy Logistics, 5240 W. 47th St.

Officers said Amin Alwan was unresponsive and bleeding from the face after apparently being shot.

Officers immediately began CPR, but Alwan died at the scene.

Forest View police and the WESTAF Major Crimes Task Force identified Hassan Alwan as a suspect. He was later taken into custody.

The La Salle Police Department became part of a suburban homicide investigation.

Back on Thursday night, La Salle Police responded to Flying J along Interstate 80 to assist with bringing in a homicide suspect. Thirty-year-old Hassan Alwan of Justice was taken into custody and transferred to the Cook County Jail.

Alwan is charged with murdering his 58-year-old father earlier in the day on Thursday near an industrial warehouse outside the suburb of Forest View. Investigators say Alwan shot and killed his father.

It's not yet known why Alwan made his way to the Flying J in La Salle before being taken into custody.

He was ordered held at Cook County Jail.

His next scheduled court date is Feb. 3 at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Illinois man my arse.
Middle eastern Muslim fatiguer who lived in Illinois is the truth.

Its not all Muslims but it's ALWAYS Muslims.

@cornz your comment reflects a widespread cognitive bias and stereotype—often reinforced by media coverage—that links horror and terrorism exclusively to Muslims. While some terrorist incidents involve individuals claiming to be Muslim, research indicates most perpetrators are "DIY" actors with little faith understanding, and the vast majority of Muslims oppose such extremism.
The narrative that "terrorists are always Muslim" is considered a false, racialized, and stereotypical narrative. It ignores the vast, diverse, and peaceful population of over 1.8 billion Muslims globally, and that most victims of such terrorism are fellow Muslims.
Media coverage frequently frames Muslim stories negatively, linking them to extremism, which can distort perception. Research has found that in the West, this leads to an overestimation of the threat, while overlooking terrorism from other ideologies.
MI5 has noted that a well-established, genuine religious identity can often act as a protective factor against radicalization rather than a cause.
Ultimately, experts point out that this rhetoric overlooks the role of politics, sociology, and social networks in generating extremism, erroneously applying the actions of a tiny minority to an entire religion.

"This is for fucking my mom. And my sisters. And my little brother. And our pet goat. All instead me." Why not deport the whole remaining bunch? Keeping such people equals dealing with their 3rd world family matters. Let them kill off each other.

muslim people in western countries, fuck off.

1 +1 BigHeartSmallWorld 2 months ago

@Timmy no. I personally emphasise the need for better integration and assimilation into Western societal norms. Concerns are sometimes raised about the difficulty of integrating, particularly when there are vast differences in culture and values.
Many Muslims living in the West have reported feeling disrespected and have experienced rising Islamophobia, including hostility, discrimination, and incidents targeting their communities. Some studies suggest that substantial proportions of people in some Western countries feel that the West does not respect Muslim societies.
Many Muslim migrants come to Western countries for better economic opportunities and personal safety, often finding that the freedom in Western countries allows them to live their faith in ways that are not always possible in other places.
Some Muslims in the West find that in a society where their religion is not the majority, they may feel more protective of their practices or, conversely, that they are navigating between adapting their traditions to a new environment and preserving their core beliefs.
Conversely, many highlight that Muslims have been part of Western societies for a long time and that many are well-integrated and contribute to their communities, with some advocating for a deeper understanding and appreciation of diversity.
