Caroline dos Santos Silva, a 26-year-old pastry chef, died in a traffic accident in the municipality of Riachão das Neves, in the state of Bahia, Brazil. The accident occurred on the afternoon of Thursday, June 11, on the BR-135 highway.
The young woman was a resident of the city of Barreiras and was originally from there. Her death shocked family, friends, and those who knew her for her work in the pastry industry.
How the Accident Occurred
According to information released by authorities, the accident happened around 6:00 p.m. near the community of Pau Louro.
Caroline was driving a Fiat Strada pickup truck when, for reasons that have not yet been determined, she lost control of the vehicle.
After leaving the road, the truck overturned on the side of the highway.
She died at the scene.
Due to the severity of her injuries, the young woman did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency teams and authorities traveled to the area to carry out the necessary procedures and secure the area while official investigations were underway.
Investigation ongoing.
Agents from the Federal Highway Police (PRF) and forensic experts participated in the investigation.
The body was later transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML), where the required forensic examinations were performed.
