Anderson Estévez , 25 , was admitted to the Ángel María Gatón Hospital in critical condition after receiving a machete blow to the back in the vicinity of the municipal public market of this city.

The alleged aggressor is a man preliminarily identified as “Heriberto” , with whom the victim has had personal grudges for several years, according to preliminary reports from police authorities.

A video obtained by local media documents the moments after the attack and reveals details that broaden the understanding of the incident. The footage shows Estévez running with a machete in his hand, seemingly unaware of the severity of the wound he sustained to his back and neck.
