Three men were shot dead in the Recreio dos Bandeirantes neighborhood in western Rio, Brazil. They were in a vehicle when fire was opened on them, with more than 20 rounds fired. It is suspected that the killing may be linked to the struggle for control over Terreirão. A section of Recreio where conflicts between factions over drug trafficking and control of the coastal area have been ongoing for some time.
