@Schlime I have serious doubts about them, hugging.. The guy's soles totally lay on the ground, even with elongation that occurs due to hanging, that would have meant him tiptoeing. Unlikely, that makes it longer to die, and lot of struggle can occur even involuntarily. At least 5 inches from ground to feet (or to torso if in sitting position) makes the process easier. But his soles are fully on the ground..

Also, their bodies are not facing each other, not even that close to each other. And to add to the oddity, the gal looked upon at his .. back? Reaching the ground, no sign of struggle or at least a halfturn. And how is that string tied to the timber in a manner his body turns/turned away from her, showing his back. If that happened..

A 19-year-old Dalit man and his 17-year-old girlfriend, who belonged to a Most Backward Class (MBC) community, were found dead in Tamil Nadu's Mayiladuthurai district on Tuesday in what police suspect is a case of suicide following family opposition to their inter-caste relationship.

The bodies of the couple were found hanging after they had reportedly gone missing.

The girl was a Class 12 student, while the man worked as a daily wage labourer. Investigators said the two had been in a relationship for some time despite resistance from their families.
