A teenager identified only as Dalila died in a motorcycle accident in the municipality of Itapecuru Mirim, in the state of Maranhão, Brazil.

The accident occurred on the afternoon of Friday, June 26, on Rua Nestor Albuquerque, located in the Trizidela neighborhood.

According to preliminary information, two young people were riding a motorcycle when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

How the accident happened

According to the driver's account, moments before the impact, the motorcycle hit the corner of a sidewalk.

This initial contact caused her to lose control, and the motorcycle continued off course.

Seconds later, the vehicle crashed violently into the wall of a house.

The injuries sustained

The teenager suffered a fractured wrist and a serious head injury as a result of the impact.

Emergency crews quickly arrived at the scene and transported her to the Adélia Matos Regional Hospital.
