I've been in several accidents and survived every time thanks to my full-face helmet. Without it, I could have suffered facial scars, a split lip, broken teeth, or brain damage. It protects you when you fall and hit the road, then slide and roll on the road. Of course, it's no longer effective if you get run over like in the video.
