Ever wonder what they think about on the way down? Nothing? Everything? What they'd do differently in another life? Do the seconds become an eternity, and their life flash before their eyes? Many survivors say they feel regret, so perhaps regret is their last thought, but is that regret tied to jumping, or tied to how they lived their life to that point? Maybe the mind protects itself by going blank, the way people say it does in car accidents, that strange calm before the impact.
