Thailand, October 26, 2016 Roengkhetkan Saharat was a Thai tattoo artist and entrepreneur who became famous in 2016 when he committed suicide at the age of 22 during a Facebook Live broadcast.
Roengkhetkan was addicted to gambling and had large debts, with associated depression. On the day of his death, he asked his mother for money to pay part of his debt, but she refused. That was probably the trigger.
He shared a Facebook status before the live broadcast began that said something like "We will meet in the afterlife sometime". He then started streaming and cried heavily, holding a gun while doing so, and then shot himself in the head.
And since Thailand is mainly a Buddhist country, the incident has generated a lot of attention and sparked a debate on gambling and suicide prevention.
I wonder why did he had a US flag in his room, poor fella was shaking and clearly didn't want to kill himself.
