Why do Chinese people fear water and cannot swim? When they go to the beach, most Chinese people do not swim; instead, they merely dip their feet in the water or wear arm tubes or life jackets even in shallow water. Chinese people are timid and cowardly, more so than they appear.

The fact that a major portion of the chinese population doesn't know how to swim is insane to me. With how long it took the guy to get her and finally get her head above water it was too late. If only swimming and rescue training happened at an early age for people and it wasn't a luxury! I blame the CCP on this one.

Mermaid diving looks safe, but not even in shallow water. Once your full body is submerged, it becomes a danger.

For the mermaid one her tail got tangled and it got stuck to her body so she couldn't swim upwards. Really cheap also dangerous tail, I sense she asked for a high quality one... They saved her, unfortunately her body was already going through convulsions from severe lack of oxygen. They expected much, but gave little. Very unsafe system they had there. Poor communication. Rest in Peace darling. So people who are interested in mermaid diving, always be safe and always be careful.

They do realize that MOST people who do things like this are athletic people who are used to high performance right? I would even be a risk for athletes. These people aren't athletic AT ALL. Let alone do they look experienced in these situations, such as high diving and athletic swimming.
