A tragic and fatal incident happened in Mendi SHP, just outside the Mendi airport. Someone was trying to trim the branch of a tree and was unfortunately electrocuted.
Fact is the electrical current can travel through the branch which can act as a conductor and electrocuted any individual.
The victim was rushed to Mendi General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The branch took revenge for his evil thoughts.
Funniest part is that's exactly what he was trying to avoid in the 1st place.

They have power lines in Papua New Guinea?

1 +1 BigHeartSmallWorld 2 months ago

@Aneuman Yes, Papua New Guinea has power lines, but grid coverage is limited, primarily serving urban centers and often unreliable. While PNG Power Limited operates thousands of kilometers of transmission lines, as of 2023-2024, only about 13%–20.5% of the population has access to electricity, with rural access being significantly lower, sometimes around 6%.
